For the past 35 years Atria Developments has been re-developing properties for residential, commercial, and industrial use across the GTA, particularly in Toronto’s downtown eastern core. Our ventures include the meticulous but rewarding task of converting abandoned buildings into affordable, functional studio lofts, where artists, photographers, and those in the film industry can live and work. We have a long and proud history of spotting potential and breathing new life into neglected buildings and overlooked neighbourhoods.
Atria Developments has been a pioneer in the revitalization of the Queen-Carlaw community for more than three decades. In recognizing the potential of this neighbourhood’s rich architectural history and character, we were one of the first to pursue and succeed at securing residential zoning rights to this area’s industrial buildings. As a result, Atria Developments set the foundation for re-introducing Toronto singles and families into this community, by creating and revitalizing unique living spaces. Our development projects aim to capture and merge the true character and elegance of the past, with the exquisite, urban contemporary designs of the present. Our hugely successful i-Zone liveworklofts project in 1999 was followed quickly by the Parkwood Residences in Oshawa and the more recent Garment Factory Lofts in Leslieville and Kimberley Court in The Beach.
Atria is family-owned company spearheaded by Hans and Vipin Jain, whose father, Gyan (John), an engineer originally from India, launched the property development and management firm more than three decades ago. Today, Atria Development continues its pursuit of revitalizing, renewing, and bringing new life into industrial urban areas. Our tenants and home owners continue to be the motivating forces behind the successful, caring company we are today.
